Why is it important for the NAIS Manila community to celebrate Philippine Day?

“At NAIS Manila, celebrating Philippine Day is an important way of living out our vision of fostering global, inclusive citizens. By honouring the rich culture, history, and traditions of the Philippines, we not only deepen our appreciation for the country our families call home, but also teach our students the value of respect, diversity, and connection. This celebration helps our community to come together, learn from one another, and strengthen the global mindset that lies at the heart of a Nord Anglia education.”

Culture Comes to Life in Every Classroom

Filipino culture took center stage across every classroom — in ways that were fun, creative, and deeply meaningful.
In EYFS and Primary, students explored heritage through storytelling, traditional games, Masskara mask-making, and dancing.
In Secondary, the celebration deepened with Tagisan ng Talino (Quiz Bee), Filipino-themed lessons, and engaging sessions on local folktales.
