On the last day of Term One, Principal Diane Vaughan conducted the termly Principal's Awards, this time celebrating the outstanding contributions of students who exemplify one of the school's core values of being considerate.
As our students depart for their Christmas holidays, we reflect on what has been a very busy first term. From international trips to the USA with UNICEF, STEAM visits to MIT, trekking expeditions to Switzerland, or sports competitions in Thailand, our students have certainly been busy.
We are delighted to be named as a finalist for the China Schools Awards 2025, organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in China! The awards recognise and celebrate the achievement and best practice of international-oriented K12 education in China, and we’ve been shortlisted within both the Enterprise & Employability and Staff Development and Wellbeing categories.

Monthly highlights at NAIS Pudong! Our Year 4 students had the amazing opportunity to visit the Zotter Chocolate Theatre to learn all about where chocolate comes from and how it is made. A series of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities were designed for students in Key Stage 3. We participated the ACAMIS basketball competition, a recent thrilling event held at Xiamen International School, where teams from Hong Kong, Dalian, Beijing, Xiamen, and Shenzhen exhibited exceptional skills and teamwork, creating an electric atmosphere of competition and teamwork.
Last Friday, we gathered together to witness the efforts and achievements of the entire term. This marks the first time in the past three years that we have been able to follow a complete schedule of various activities, including residential trips, sports competitions, enrichment weeks, and full parental involvement in school events. The theme for this term is linked to one of our core value of developing considerate students.
