1. Year 6 have arrived in Yaolin safely. The train journey went well and we are now at the hotel having dinner.

Photos etc will follow in the morning.

2. Updates 17th May 7:10am

Our first day of residential went by in a blur! We set off from school to the train station and got there in great time despite the traffic.

We then started our journey to Hangzhou East train station. We spent nearly six hours on the train but they flew by. We played lots of games and enjoyed chatting with our friends. The seats can rotate round so we were able to sit in groups or four or six and face each other which we loved.

After arriving at the train station we got a coach to our hotel where we had dinner. They cooked us lots of different Chinese dishes which were delicious!

We met our group leaders from insight and they are all lovely. They are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we are excited to spend the week with them!

Everyone then went and checked into their rooms. One group had a very exciting first night and went camping! We have lots of exciting things planned for our second day and we can't wait to get started!

Updates from: Ms. Emma Brown

When possible, updates and pictures from the days’ activities from all locations will be posted on the BSB blog at the end of the day or the following morning.

This can be accessed via the school website’s  Residentials blog
