Cecily Ann Lavin Godward (3)

Year 5 Teacher, Head of Year 5

I joined BSB in August 2015 as a Year 5 Teacher. I have a degree in Creative Arts and a PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Sunderland.

I have been working in International Schools since 1994.  Prior to joining BSB, I was teaching Year 5 at the British International School of Jeddah and before that I was head of the Drama Department, teaching Drama to both Primary and Secondary children at St Francis College in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

I lived in China in 2003 and have always wanted to return so I am very excited to be here again.

On a more personal note I have been very fortunate to live in many different countries, I enjoy learning about and experiencing new cultures. I love to dance, sing and even enjoy SCUBA diving. My husband, George is also working at BSB as a Secondary Maths Teacher .  We have two children who are already grown up; a daughter, Alexandra and a son, Nicholas.
