UNICEF Board Member Visits Grade 8

To go along with what they have been studying, the group had a very special visitor on 28^th September. Ms Iris Nuñez spoke on behalf of UNICEF about disaster relief and emergency funds. Our guest explained the history and context of her organisation, shared modern-day videos, and gave insights into the work that UNICEF does around the globe.

The students also had a chance to ask questions about disasters and relief efforts from Ms Nuñez, who has an extensive wealth of knowledge on these topics. Thanks to her talk, students gained a deeper understanding of how disasters impact children around the world.
