Transitioning into Secondary School

Last week, Year 6 pupils were invited to the Secondary campus by their Student Council to get a taste of what it will be like when they move into Year 7.

Their student council representatives from Year 9 had prepared a presentation explaining some key information for our Year 6 students regarding such matters as form times, timetables, break times and uniform. There was a also a question and answer session at the end of the presentation.

This was a great opportunity for our Year 6 students to further familiarise themselves with the Secondary campus as well as a chance to meet some of our Secondary students.

Over the next few weeks, each Year 6 class will be meeting up with their Year 7 buddies in the Secondary library to complete a fun challenge with a view to get to know the layout of the library better, as well as their buddy.

A big thank you to Mrs Katie Humphries, Head of Year 7 and the Secondary Student Council.
