Years 4 - 6 kicked off the first primary sports day of the year in style as students spent the day competing. The athletics arena was awash with waves of Roman blue, Norman red, Viking yellow and Saxon green as each house vied for the coveted Sports Day trophy.

The day was an amazing spectacle of Olympic standard runs, throws and jumps, coupled with an atmosphere of true, genuine sportsmanship that underlie everything that sport and house competition should represent. Students left blood, sweat and tears out on the track and field to earn points for their houses, but at the end of the day there could only be one winner: the VIKINGS! The primary school turned yellow for the day as the victorious Vikings took home the Y4-6 Sports Day trophy.

An amazing event where every single student in attendance contributed to their house’s points by ALL competing in a run, throw and jump as well as bringing house cheer in abundance. The outstanding individual performances were also celebrated with the birth of Sports Day records and the Victors and Victrixs for each group:
Congratulations to all and a big thank you to everyone who supported.
