The Gruffalo

We were very lucky to have been treated to the Tall Stories’ production of ‘The Gruffalo’ in celebration of the books’ 20th Anniversary.

Children from Early Years to Year 3 watched this show with fascination, as they saw Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s very well-known children’s book come to life and be transformed into a highly entertaining musical version of this adventurous story.

Who knew that a mouse could be so brave? All characters have been cleverly adapted to entertain children as much as the book itself.

There was a lot of interaction with the children, who were all too pleased to join the mouse on her risky adventure through the deep, dark woods and support her when threatened to be eaten by a hungry fox, a snake in a bolero jacket, a slightly crazy old owl and a big scary Gruffalo. It goes without saying that our BSKL children left the theatre with a big smile on their faces!
