The boys took part in 2 warm-up competitions earlier in the term, competing against the likes of Alice Smith, ISKL and GIS.
The ISAC finals day saw BSKL visit ISKL to play a round-robin tournament against ISKL and Alice Smith. The first game against Alice Smith began with BSKL dominating possession and coming within metres of the first try. As BSKL pressed for the line a certain try-scoring pass was intercepted by the Alice Smith winger who ran the full length of the pitch to score the opening points of the match. The first half continued in the same vein with BSKL dominating possession but unable to score the vital try needed. The half finished with BSKL down by 3 tries; this did not deter the boys who went out again in the second half and scored an early try whilst again dominating the play. The second half ended with one try each and whilst losing the game there was a clear improvement from the first half to second.
Following a short rest, BSKL faced ISKL in their second match. With no substitutes on the day, the BSKL team had an uphill task to overcome a team who had yet to play and had a large squad to rotate. BSKL raced into an early 2 try lead thanks to some great attacking play: Sena and Murdo breaking through the lines whenever they had the ball. The second half saw ISKL coming back into the game and a tiring BSKL looked like they may succumb under the pressure being applied by the opposition. The whole team defended superbly, led by Cameron and Atticus who fought for every ball and made it very difficult for ISKL to play with any rhythm. BSKL won the match 14-12, a fantastic achievement given the circumstances.
