The World Scholars Cup (WSC) organisers had mentioned that it had a record participation of 1,500+ scholars from over 28 countries.
Like the Regional Rounds, the Global Rounds of the WSC competition also comprised of four categories: Challenge, Debate, Collaborative Writing and Scholar's Bowl. Competing with so many scholars from all over the world, our team had their understanding and knowledge of the WSC subjects tested as well as their ability to work and cooperate as a team. Competition was tough but our team did well.
Besides their individual medals, the team was awarded the 33 rd placing in the overall team champion category and were also placed in the top 50 ranking for Team Writing and Scholar’s Bowl.
They have earned their right to move on to the much awaited finale – the prestigious Tournament of Champions (ToC) to be held in Yale University in Connecticut, USA. With not much time to spare, Zhang Ning, Lindsey and Lincoln will now start preparing for their next challenge and possible adventure in USA.
