Galette des Rois 14 January 2020 Many of our students of French this week had the opportunity to celebrate the French tradition of eating Galette des Rois to mark the feast of the Epiphany, which celebrates the Christian event of when the three kings arrived to give gifts to Baby Jesus. The tradition of eating the cake dates back to the 14 th century. Those who find the trinket (tiny toy) in their slice get crowned King or Queen for the day. Here are our students enjoying the Galettes and wearing their crowns.
