As a treat for completing the course of Forest School sessions RA got to pop their own popcorn on a real fire.

In a previous session, children were shown how to build a fire and stay safe. As they were so sensible and calm they were able to move on to their first cooking session.

1Using two sieves clipped onto a long piece of bamboo children took turns rotating the corn over the fire. There were squeals of excitement when the popcorn started to pop with so much popcorn being made that even the birds and forest animals got to have some too!
