Dress Down Day Raises $2,800 for Save The Children Following Earthquakes in Mexico

04 December 2017

Save the Children Partnerships Manager, Catherine James, visited DCIS on Friday to thank our students for the money donated to Save the Children following the earthquakes in Mexico in September.

  • How Save the Children Saves Lives Around the World

As a school we donated $2,800, the funds were raised from the dress down day donations.

During the Secondary assembly on Friday Catherine thanked our students and played two videos that really showed where the money donated to Save the Children goes and how it helps children access basic rights such as food, shelter and education.

It was fantastic for our Secondary students to really see the impact that the fundraising has and to learn more about Humanitarian work.

Thank you to Save the Children for coming to visit us.
