Parent Group Update – 1st September 2016

01 September 2016

Attending the TX school community events has many advantages.  Parents have the chance to meet new friends and families; it is valuable for the children to see their parents being active in school; parents have the chance to learn more about the school and, as a community, we develop a shared understanding.

Upcoming events with the TX Parents Group:

  • Friday 2nd September – Y5s are meeting at Vietopia at 9am.  Feel free to come and join the Y5 children and their parents.  While children will have fun playing, parents will be able to enjoy a cup of coffee and a catch up!
  • Wednesday 7th September – Parent Group Meeting with Ms Mary, 8am in the Multi-purpose Room. We would like all Class Reps to attend, please.  Parents, please join us to find out about the special events scheduled this term and to help in planning and preparing for these.  We need your help!
  • Thursday 8th September – Book Swap and Community Collection.  During the Book Celebration week (w/c Monday 26th September) we will be hosting a book swap for children to bring their well read books and exchange them for new titles.  For this event we ask for parent volunteers to help collect, sort and exchange the books.  Next Thursday a sign-up sheet will be available in the lobby for volunteers to sign up when they are available to help.  Please sign up; any small or big amount of time helps!
  • Tuesday 13th September – Our first parent lunch.  Location and details will be given next week, but save the date!

Enjoy the long weekend and see you all next week on Wednesday 7th for the Parent Group Meeting.
