Oxbridge at BSB - an informative talk for Year 11 and 12 students

The company, with whom a number of BSB students have spent their summers in previous years, have been offering summer university programmes at top universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, UCLA, and Barnard-Columbia for more than 30 years. And whilst they will be explaining their summer programmes to you, in order to give students and parents an OxBridge experience, Dr. Richard Michaelis, OxBridge Executive Director and former History professor at Oxford University for 15 years, will be giving an OxBridge/ Harkness seminar on “Dissecting the Napoleonic Code: 19th Century to Today” .

In other words, university level stuff, right here at BSB.

Dr. Richard Michaelis, Oxbridge Executive Director

Dr Richard Michaelis was educated at University College London (BA, First Class) and Oxford
(M.Phil., D.Phil.). Richard is a specialist in Modern French and European History. Prior to coming to New York he spent fifteen years teaching History at Oxford University. He directed the Académie de Paris for seven year.

Janet Tso, International Education Specialist

Janet Tso is the International Education Specialist for WorldStrides China. Prior to
WorldStrides,Janet brings four years of international education admissions and college consulting experience to the team. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College.
