I have received my Bachelor of Education degree for Primary Education from the University for Teaching Education Styria in Graz, the second largest city in Austria. After finishing my degree, I have participated in the Foreign Language Teaching Assistance program of the Fulbright fellowship. Working as a German native speaker at St. John's University in Minnesota, USA was a very valuable and amazing experience, that taught me a lot.
After returning home, I have completed one year of teaching at the VS Algersdorf, a primary school in a very diverse neighborhood in Graz. Teaching at BSB Shunyi is my first experience at an International School and my first time in China and I am already very excited about this opportunity.
I have been a passionate Scout since I was seven years old and in my spare time I volunteer as a youth leader. Being a Scout has taught me to cherish all members of our society and to be open-minded and respectful to everybody, regardless religion or ethnicity. I believe that communcation and a healthy portion of humor are very important in any life situation and also in early education.
Besides Scouting I specifically enjoy playing and watching football, spending time with friends and family and all kinds of outdoor-adventures.
