I am a Musicologist and a music teacher from Poland. I did my MA degree on Cardinal Wyszynski University in Warsaw. There I covered the 1st and 2nd grade State Music School course in viola studies as well. For the last two years, I was Music and Drama teacher in an IB Primary School in Beijing.
My professional career has always been linked to music. I acquired my experience at Polish Radio, as a classroom, vocal and instrument music teacher (violin and piano), violist of a string quartet and singer in choirs and diverse vocal ensembles. With one of the ensembles, Clamaverunt Iusti performing Gregorian chant, I have received a prestigious Fryderyk award (being called Polish Grammy) in Early Music category.
In my work as music teacher I pay close attention to develop students’ vocal skills. This is a perfect way to build pupils’ self-esteem and support their creativity. Also it is really fascinating to see students transformed from knowing nothing about how to play an instrument to being able to perform complicated (for them) music by the end of the year. Inspiring them not only academically but personally.
I’m really exited to be a part of Music Department Team in BSB!
