I began my teaching experience after graduating from an American university in 2004 and have taught everything from primary to junior college adults.
I first taught Spanish then moved into primary with a math focus. While in my last assignment in America, I was the department ESL lead in addition to working with the administration to help create a data-driven-student-centered environment for our low perfroming school to help the school as a whole to rise up to the state standards. Over the past year in China, I was working at HOPE International as an Instructional Coach and Curriculum Specialist to aide the staff in implementation of differentiating instruction and vertical alighment of the subjects.
I am married with eight children ranging from ages 19 down to four, of which three are now here in China with us and here at the school. My husband and I have been here in China for a little over a year and look forward to traveling and seeing more of this side of the world while we are here in China.
