University Degree: TESOL, PGCE
I am a qualified teacher with a TESOL certificate and a PGCE with a specialism in teaching students with learning disabilities and/or difficulties. Last year I worked as a cover teacher and Teaching Assistant in Year 6 which was wonderful and now I'm really looking forward to being a Year 3 class teacher.
I first started teaching in 1996 in Hunan Province, China, and living and working in China again is great and I feel very much at home. I have 4 years international teaching experience as well as 5 years teaching in the English state education system. I have taught EFL, English/literacy, numeracy and ICT as well as basic skills, across a range of vocational subjects to learners aged 5 to adults. I have also worked for a London homeless charity and then I set up a my own business whilst my daughters were young.
In my spare time I love to sew and post what I’ve sewn to Instagram, and I enjoy playing badminton with my work colleagues.
