University Degree: BSc (Hons) in Computer Forensics, PGCE, MA in Education (in progress)
Being from the UK, I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Forensics from Northumbria University, Newcastle with over 5 years industry experience. Most recently, I worked at an international school in Vietnam where I was teaching Secondary ICT and Computer Science in a brand-new, all-through campus of over 2000 student capacity and saw through their first cohort of CIE IGCSE students with exceptional results. I have a PGCE from Sunderland University (UK) and will finish my MA in Education very soon.
I am very passionate about my subject area, but I also love catering for the different needs of the students and ensuring I connect with them on an emotional level. I consistently set and maintain high standards for students inside the classroom, and I am a firm believer in just doing your best, no matter the situation. Therefore, I will always take it upon myself to ensure every student under my care are being the best they can be, both academically and as a person.
“Travel broadens the mind”. Living in Vietnam made it easy to travel around Asia, therefore, in my free time I love going on adventures – exploring new places and trying new things is top in my list of things to do! This was also one of the primary driving factors for my move to BSB - China is a country in Asia in which I have never explored before so the thought of being in a city like Beijing is very exciting.
