I am from Manchester, UK and have been teaching in education for over 23 years. I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and completed my PGCE in Science/Chemistry both from the University of Manchester. After teaching for a period of 13 years in the UK as Key Stage 4 Science Coordinator and Head of Chemistry, I started teaching at an international school in Indonesia and Shenzhen. I held roles as a Curriculum leader and Head of Science where I taught KS4 IGCSE to KS5 A levels Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel Science, and for the past 3 years IB Chemistry and Physics.
In 2020, I welcome the opportunities to advance my experiences to apply 21st century skills into the teaching of a holistic approach, where each individual is viewed as a valued contributor to their environment, society and self development of education at BSB. I appreciate the development of young minds, as they become more technical orientated society. However it is sometimes good to have a different perspective of the World around them. I wish to aspire them to succeed to their full potential, follow their dreams with ambitions and gain enjoyment from their educational experiences to lead a successful life.
My teaching career has greatly impacted my family, gaining a wealth of experiences with travelling and immersing in the uniqueness of different cultures and diversity. I am married and my daughter will be joining the BSB family at a later stage. As a family we enjoy our food and I am an avid chef, as we strive for the experience of diverse culinary delights from various regions of the World.
