This term for Science in Year 8, the students have completed the topic on 'The Earth' where they learned about rock formation and the different types of rocks, also about weathering and the rock cycle.
Year 4 Grape and Plum performed their rainforest assembly to their parents in the school theatre on Friday 18th May. Their assembly focused on the story of the great kapok tree: a tree in the Amazon that supports a myriad of life.
The presentation was given to students and parents of Year 12 in the theatre last Thursday. It was part of an extensive university preparation programme provided by the school to a range of year groups.
Congratulations to our team that played at the DVAC volleyball tournament in Vienna last weekend! The girls finished in 4th place, the boys finished in 1st place! Well done and many thanks to the coaches.
On Saturday 21st April, the Music Department and 16 Primary students headed to Bratislava for a day of music-making with 10 schools from 6 different countries making over 180 voices!
In Hungarian History lessons this term Year 8 students have been learning about the dualist era and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. As part of this topic, the Year 8 students visited the Royal Palace of Gödöllő, King Franz Joseph’s and Queen Elisabeth’s favourite residence in Hungary.
Last Thursday, Miss Katona from 1 Apple and Mr Mormoe went to visit the Etyeki Allatvedo Egyesulet. This is the animal shelter we have chosen to sponsor in Year 1.
