Children in all Chinese classrooms had a busy and fun week after returning to school from a pleasant winter holiday.
Nursery children were learning about penguins. They enjoyed the penguin songs and dance, as well as the penguin stories. They now can talk more facts about the penguins, like the penguins live in the South Pole, they can’t fly but they can swim very well.
Reception children learnt about minibeasts. They studied the different insects through varies activities. They discussed if these little ones can fly, how many legs they have, what they eat and where they live.
Y1 Lama Temple students learnt a chant 'The Little Boat'. They have been working very hard to study the new Chinese characters. They also used their fluent thinking skills to describe what the full moon and crescent moon look like.
Children in Y2 Great Wall were learning about the topic 'what are in my school bag'. They shared their work to practice their speaking skills in Chinese.
Y4 Tian’an Men students learnt about weather. They copied the weather forecast on TV show and prepared a prestation to finish this topic. All children enjoyed this activity very much.
What a dynamic week!
