Nursery children enjoyed a fabulous time learning about colours and shapes. They played a colour hunting game, had so much fun talking about their favourite colours and looking for them in the classroom. They also used different shapes to build houses, cars, trains and so on.
Reception went on an imaginary trip to the zoo to see animals. The children talked about their favourite animals and played charades with them! So many creative ideas were demonstrated by the children on how to act out various animals. Such fun!
Year 1 (non-native group) children learned about numbers and strokes. They learned a Chinese chant of numbers and wrote strokes with their bodies using motions similar to Kungfu to write characters in the air.
Year 3 (non-native group) learned how to tell time in Chinese and did a variety of activities to practise their speaking. They also learned a story about time and had lots of fun acting the story out.
Year 4 (non-native group) learned the story ‘Birthday Gift’. The students enjoyed learning the text by performing the story. They also drew Chinese characters in the air using Tai Chi moves along with music.
