IB TOK Exhibition Invitation - 16 Sep, 2021

IB TOK Exhibition Invitation - 16 Sep, 2021 - ib-tok-exhibition-invitation--16-sep-2021

Dear families

It has been wonderful to have our students back on campus, and it is clear Year 13s have arrived full of focus and drive for the year ahead.

I’m writing to invite you to our upcoming Year 13 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition taking place Thursday 16th September in the IB Hub from 3.30pm-4.30pm. Though the ongoing restrictions have limited our capacity to welcome families on campus, we have special dispensation for the parents of Year 12 and 13 for this special event.

For those unfamiliar with Theory of Knowledge- known to teachers and students as TOK- this is a challenging critical thinking course centered around the question ‘how do we know?’ For the Exhibition, students had to identify 3 objects in real life and connect them to a Knowledge Question such as ‘Who owns knowledge?’. Our Year 13s completed this work by the end of the final term of Year 12, but did not get the chance to exhibit it. This is what next Thursday is for.

We are also inviting Year 12 students and families as this is a fantastic opportunity for you to get a clear insight into what the Theory of Knowledge course entails. Light refreshments will be provided.

Year 13s will undoubtedly impress you with the high quality work they have produced, and the incredible way they can discuss the TOK questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
