Dear parents,
Unless we are informed otherwise by the Shunyi Education Commissions (SYEC), learning will be on campus from Monday February 21 for all students.
Please note the following, very important regulations:
All students are required to have been in Beijing for a full 14 days before they can return to campus. Any student who has left Beijing on or after January 22 must have completed a 14-day health observation and to have no abnormal health conditions. They then must apply for returning to campus with a negative nucleic acid test result taken within 72 hours after their arrival in Beijing.
Students can only return to campus after their parents complete a survey to acknowledge that:
We will send out this Survey by School WeChat Notification today. Please complete by Friday February 18 noon to assist with the campus re-opening procedures.
Please also find the Survey QR code below:
It is important that we have accurate and full information in order to fulfill our obligations to the Education Commission to protect the health of our community and we ask for your support in this matter.
If you have any questions, please contact studentsurvey@bsbshunyi.com.
We are very much looking forward to having all students return to campus on February 21!
Jayne Needham
Principal
The British School of Beijing, Shunyi Campus offers the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is renowned for its active learning approach. This method is integral to early childhood education, providing young learners with a solid foundation for their future academic and personal development. At BSB Shunyi, active learning means children learn by doing — through a thoughtful blend of teacher-guided activities and independent exploration that develops both their academic skills and their love of learning.
The British School of Beijing recently hosted BritMUN 2025, a Model United Nations (MUN) event that highlights the exceptional organisational and leadership skills of our students. This year's conference was a remarkable success, attracting student delegates from many different schools across Beijing, including the British School of Beijing, the International School of Beijing, Dulwich College Beijing, and Beijing World Youth Academy.
