BSB is very pleased to announce that we have raised the 12,000 RMB needed to pay for a little girl Ya's life-changing reconstructive cleft palate surgery. This is a fantastic effort, and our students should be very proud of themselves. Together we have made a huge difference to Ya’s life.

On Friday 13th January, students were invited to come to school in non-school uniform and pay 20 RMB towards Ya’s surgery.  This fund-raising event is organised by our Primary and Secondary Student Councils. Ya was born with a cleft palate and cleft lip. When she was 3 years old, she moved to Dew Drops - a home for orphans and improvised families born with medical needs. She has already had first stage surgery to repair this medical need but now needs additional surgery to reconstruct her palate.

Stay tuned for further news regarding Ya and her progress post-surgery.

Popcorn Extravaganza

As part of our fund-raising day, Primary school has arranged a popcorn treat for all Primary students in the afternoon as a small 'thank you' for their fund-raising efforts. Luckily, we had two expert and very experienced popcorn makers (and eaters) on hand to provide this treat for our students.

It was a very fun Friday in the Primary school! Thanks Ms. Nonie and Ms. Brown!
