Brand New EAL Hub at BSB – Ready for Action!

BSB Shunyi is delighted to announce the official opening of our new EAL (English as an Additional Language) Hub on 20th February, 2023!

We’re honoured to have Dr. Terry Creissen OBE, Regional Managing Director, China International Schools for Nord Anglia Education performed the ribbon cutting ceremony for us in the presence of our Principal Mrs. Needham, Head of Primary EAL Ms. Dunhill, members of the Parents’ Association Steering Committee and school staff. Special thanks to our young EAL students who are very excited to hold the ribbon and witness this special moment!

In his speech, Dr. Creissen said thank you to Mrs. Needham and her team for creating the new EAL Hub and “making this an opportunity for the students to benefit and really accelerate in their English language so they can go to universities anywhere in the world.”

Our EAL Programme has always been a crucial part of our curriculum, successfully supporting students whose first language is not English to accelerate in their journey of learning English. This brand new EAL Hub is our ongoing commitment to invest in our learning spaces. Each area at BSB has been thoughtfully designed to maximise our students’ learning experiences and alongside our best-in-class teachers, this will surely stimulate every child's creativity and lifelong love of learning.
