It was a privilege for BSB Shunyi to host the U19 ISAC Div 2 Boys Basketball Tournament on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th February. We welcome other Beijing international schools including BCIS, BIBA, BWYA and CISB to BSB for the first time after restrictions had been lifted in Beijing. All teams showed commitment and determination throughout the tournament, representing their school with dignity in the knowledge that they have done their best for themselves and their teammates.

BSB Boys won 3rd place!

Our BSB Boys demonstrated a fantastic team spirit and were rewarded with a third place after an epic playoff battle with BIBA. Many of the BSB team players were Year 10 students and if they continue to make the same progress, the team will be in good hands. The overall winner demonstrated excellent basketball skills and each team could learn from their organisation skills.

Our BSB Girls Team participated in the U19 ISAC Div 2 Girls Basketball Competition at BCIS. It was a very competitive tournament and our BSB girls came third beating BIBA.  Well done! Both Mr Pardina and Ms Downes commented about our BSB Team’s excellent teamwork and their hard work on the training court paid off.

All our students who competed over the two days were brilliant BSB role models for future athletes as they progress through the school. It was so good to see the students resume playing competitive sport in a large-scale tournament and this is the start of many more to come.

Well done!
