Student Council visits children at Dew Drops

Student Council visits children at Dew Drops - Student Council visits children at Dew Drops

On 23rd March, half of the members in our Primary Student Council visited the Dew Drops Little Flower home in Shunyi. BSB Shunyi has supported this charity organisation in many occasions and it was interesting to see what the money we raised at BSB is used for.

Dew Drops provides medical care for children born with medical needs from orphanages and improvised families. They currently have 147 children in their care, with the majority of them staying in their larger homes in neighbouring provinces. Most of the children staying in the smaller Shunyi home are visiting Beijing for surgery or medical appointments so are only there temporarily.

Our Student Council prepared a range of activities and enjoyed reading books in English and Chinese, playing the violin and singing songs. It was wonderful to meet some of the children staying at Dew Drops and learn about their backgrounds and lives.

The Student Council will continue to plan events and activities to raise money for Dew Drops and will visit again in Term 3. Thank you to Dew Drops for hosting us - it was incredibly inspiring to see the life-changing work that you do.
