Today was a very special day for our school. Our CEO of Nord Anglia Education Mr. Andrew Fitzmaurice, visited our school for the first time after the pandemics. In addition, he was joined by VIP visitors - Regional Managing Director China International Schools Dr. Terry Creissen, Chairman China Bilingual SchoolsMs. Jian Tang and Regional HR and Administration Director Ms. Michelle Zhang.
Although Mr Fitzmaurice was only able to spend two hours at the school, his visit was jam packed as we showcased the incredible teaching and learning that takes place on a daily basis at our fantastic school.
The visit started with a tour of the facilities hosted by our students Ethan Pinfold Li (Year 8), David Li-Wozniak (Year 10), Lavinia Chiamenti (Year 10), Beren Yavuz (Year 6) and Nico Brodel (Year 6). The students showcased their learning, and we were incredibly proud of how well they represented the school.
Mr Fitzmaurice visited lessons, discussed issues of global significance with representatives of the Student Council, listened to outstanding performances provided by our talented music students and Parents’ Association choir.
When he visited the Primary Eco-Committee and “Roots and Shoots” Garden, he was really impressed and even picked a mint leaf to have a taste! As always, our students were the stars of the day.
Mr Fitzmaurice shared how an essential component of his role is to motivate students and colleagues all over the world. His recent visit to China has left him feeling inspired and motivated to continue his indispensable work of making Nord Anglia Education the world leading premium schools’ provider.
A huge congratulations to our students and teachers! We all look forward to welcoming the leadership of Nord Anglia Education on site again soon.
BSB Primary STEAM Week is a unique opportunity for our students to engage in exciting, hands-on activities that combine creativity, design, and problem-solving.
Year 5’s PIAW allowed the children to bring their learning to life and transport themselves to the period of time they explored in class.
