On Saturday 3rd June, BSB Aquatics sent their first Water Polo Team to a friendly triangular event hosted by ISB. Our twelve BSB Key Stage 3 students played in the school’s first ever Water Polo event against Harrow and ISB. After beating Harrow 6-5, the two schools combined to play a stronger ISB team.
The highlight of the event was the opportunity to meet and talk water polo with Dutch Olympian Ben Silvis who played for the Netherlands in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Ben kindly signed some of the players shirts and helped referee and coach one of our games!!
All the BSB players gained valuable skills during the matches and will be looking forward to next year when we have more regular team sessions in Season 4.
