In Science, Year 6 are excited to build their own seismographs, the instruments used to detect and measure seismic activities related to earthquakes. Through hands-on experimentation, they generated waves and recorded and interpreted their own wave readings.

Students channelled their inner engineers by constructing earthquake-resistant towers. Using toothpicks and marshmallows as building materials, they applied the principles of structural integrity to create structures that could withstand simulated tremors! A creative approach to help deepen their understanding!
