iPGCE, MBA
Carol has an iPGCE from The University of Derby, UK and a MBA In Hospitality Management, IMI University, Switzerland, validated by Manchester Metropolitan University.
The curriculum at BSB is very similar to what Carol has been teaching. She is an Early Years teacher and has the requisite skills to help students to be lifelong learners who are creative and independent. She believes that allowing the children to explore their environment helps to encourage them to learn from the experiences and a state of 'wonder’ exist in their minds that propels them to unlock their potential. She previously worked at Sedbergh Kindergarten and have progressed to be the lead teacher for the Reception class in the past several years.
Carol is super excited to join the BSB EYFS team in August 2023. She is passionate about making learning fun. The values of British education are another major factor that pulled Carol towards BSB Shunyi. She believes that her education experience which started in his home country Kenya, and continued in Switzerland and the UK, makes her adapt to the model of third culture and how it impacts learning and teaching positively.
Carol is married to Tony, and they have 2 children. Her youngest son, Irush ,will join Teddies in September 2023. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
