Before half term, Year 6 embarked on an exciting adventure to Udon Thani, Thailand, where they engaged in a range of community service projects. The children had the opportunity to help the locals by building structures, planting crops and making and delivering food after buying ingredients from a local market. Year 6 gained so much from these experiences and demonstrated maturity, compassion and cooperation throughout the whole project.
We also had enough time to hit the night market and practise our bartering skills, as well as enjoying a delicious BBQ towards the end of the week. The closing ceremony, on the last evening, involved traditional dancing, break dancing, gift-giving and sharing positivity with each other. All in all, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that none of us will ever forget.
