Lost Uniform

22 October 2014

Uniform is costly especially if needing to be replaced.  Because school uniform items look the same it is difficult to trace if lost or mislaid in school, and if not labelled clearly.

Many items of uniform are being mislaid and lost by pupils in both Primary and Secondary schools. This is easily done when students move from room to room, have PE, wear coats, etc. The table opposite the Nurses Office has lost property gathered over the week from the whole campus. Please look at these items as soon as you realise an item has been mislaid – you may be lucky and find it there. At the end of the week any unclaimed items are then moved to the labelled Lost Property boxes near Finance.

We try our best to return items to their owner but many items however have no names and so finding the owner is nearly impossible.

Please could you spend a few minutes labelling coats, blazers, sweaters and PE kit with family name and year.  Your child’s first name or an initial is not enough! The family name is best. You can buy iron-on labels or simply write the name and year clearly on a label in the clothing with a Sharpie or normal pen – it normally survives many washes.

Thank you for your cooperation.
