This week in Nursery we continue to think about Christmas and enjoy looking at our beautifully decorated tree.
In phonics we are thinking of words that begin with ‘i’. We will be making silly soup with objects that begin with ‘i’, playing with the instruments and writing invitations asking our parents to come to watch us sing!
In maths we will be thinking about numbers 1-5. We will be trying to put them in the right order and even try counting backwards!
We will also be talking about the first Christmas and what happened when baby Jesus was born.
On Friday in PSED we will be talking about what we are good at and awarding everyone a gold medal as we celebrate gold day!
Phrase of the Week
Each week we will focus on an important phrase to develop communication and lovely manners.
This week our phrase is: “Happy Christmas”
How You Can Help at Home
- Discuss how you will spend Christmas and the holidays with your family.
- Talk about all the different things your family are good at and make them a gold medal.
- Find pictures of objects beginning with ‘i’ and cut them out to stick in your sound scrap book.
- Practise counting up to 10 with your children but don’t always start at 1.
