The Roundabout Book Fair held at BSB Shunyi is an annual opportunity for our students to get involved in serving the local and national community as part of their IB Diploma Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) course.

Students were given the opportunity by Roundabout to help out on Saturday 25th August, 2018, the opening day of the five-day fair, held at the BSB school lobby. Students from both Year 12 and Year 13 gave up part of their weekend to help organize and tidy the books, as well as helping the shoppers with bags. As Saturday is the busiest day for the event, their help was vital in making sure that shoppers were able to find books they were interested in.

It also provides a valuable experience for the students to work with other volunteers and collaborate as part of a group. It is made even more rewarding knowing that the money raised goes to such excellent causes in China.

It is a fantastic opportunity for our international students to give something back to their host country. Everybody had a great day and we look forward to helping again next year!
