Please see updates received live from Yale currently 8 November evening Eastern Standard Time.
Today the Junior WSC team enrolled in to the Tournament of Champions at the prestigious Yale University in New Haven, U.S.A. The teams are excited to get the tournament started tomorrow.
Today was spent at the opening ceremony; eating delicious food at one of the boarding houses; listening to the fascinating Keynote linguistic speaker discussing the Voynich manuscripts and finally a scavenger hunt around campus.
The students are looking forward to starting now and pitting themselves against the best student scholars in the world...signing off now... more news from Yale to tomorrow.
Mr. Chris Planchant, Head of Year 11
On the first day, the Juniors were at Yale and the Seniors don’t start until tomorrow. The Seniors went to visit the Yale campus and register for the Tournament of Champions. Then we had a free day so we spend the morning exploring the Yale Art Museum, trying local cuisine and shopping.
Ms. Megan Sinclair, BSB Admissions Manager, Chaperone for Seniors Team
