With Summer just around the corner, Year 9 students were preparing for the next phase of their education and the start of their journey towards GCSE exams in 2023 during the final week of the school year. As part of this process, like Marty McFly in the DeLorean, they were transported to the future - the year 2033, to be precise – to attend a ‘School Reunion’ party and reflect on where their lives might take them.

However, all was not as it seemed as this apparently happy social event was interrupted by… a murder! The students then had to interview each other, piece together clues, and work together to solve the mystery…

Involving the whole year group, plus their form tutors, this activity allowed everyone to get together one last time before the holidays. Students bid farewell to their peers who were moving off, and also, for the majority here next year, took the chance to get to know each other even better through mutual interrogation.

And, best of all, they managed to solve the mystery… it was Mr. Brown!
