Our children were very excited by a new delivery of pots, pans, buckets, sieves and wooden spoons.
They immediately got to work in the mud Kitchen and sand area making some glorious muddy delights. There was lots of role play, using real cooking equipment, just like mum and dad use at home.
We love encouraging this play as it gives children a sensory experience, exploring mud and getting messy. It also helps to increase confidence and gives the chance for creativity, role play, collaboration and communication. Mud cookies and leave soup – Yum!
