We changed the setting and travelled to France, Egypt and USA. The children used their ‘Fluent Thinking’ skills to imagine what mischief ‘The Naughty Bus’ could get up to including; driving through stinky French cheese, knocking down a pyramid and also making quite a mess in the ice cream shop in USA.
Some of our Key Stage 1 parents came to school on Tuesday and shared wonderful presentations about the countries they are from. It was a valuable learning experience and the children used their ‘Be Curious’ skills and asked lots of great questions.
The International Day has been one that will remain in the children’s memories for a long time. They sampled foods from all over the world and discussed landmarks from many countries. The children had a fabulous experience dressing up in their cultural dress.
Thank you to all the parents who participated and made this a day to remember for Year 1!
