After being delayed two hours and a six hour flight, Leroy, Celine, Esther and Chloe, along with Mr Aryiku, arrived at their hotel at 3am, tired but excited for what the next couple of days would include.
After very little sleep - three hours to be exact - our four mathematicians had breakfast before taking part in a Maths trail in the KLCC park. With the sun shining brightly in the sky and temperatures exceeding 28°C, the children worked well together to answer very challenging questions, all the while maintaining their cool in the scorching heat.
Following the Maths trail, the children enjoyed a healthy and scrumptious meal at Alice Smith School before completing individual and group activities.
It wasn’t all work though! The children also enjoyed meals at Nandos (yum!), bowling with pupils from the other schools at the competition and they even got to make their own Magnum ice-cream. All in all it was a tiring, fun and enjoyable couple of days.
On numerous occasions, teachers from other schools commented on the polite manners and responsible behaviour of Celine, Esther, Leroy and Chloe. They really were fantastic ambassadors of our school, representing us at the highest capacity. Very well done to you all!
