They have used ICT software to design and create capes for different superheroes using different materials specific to the superheroes job – we have had Mr Electric and his waterproof cape, we had Little Miss Stretch and her rubber costume and lots more. In English we have innovated a story changing the ‘Smartest Giant in Town’ to the ‘Smartest Superhero in Town’.

On Wednesday 29th March the Year 1 children turned into superheroes for the day and investigated and test which material would allow them to fly. We needed stretchy and bouncy materials so we visited Air Factory. The children bounced, jumped and touched the stars! They had a wonderful experience and even got to watch a professional trampoline demonstration which included backflips, somersaults and even running up the wall upside down.

We had an amazing time even the staff turned into bouncing flying superheroes for the day!
