Nursery students learned about Halloween. Through playing games, they learned Chinese phrases related to Halloween, such as “I am a monster” or “I eat chocolate,” and other vocabulary. Some students told Halloween stories.
Reception students learned about weather. We sang songs about weather and had activities such as acting out weather situations.
Year One non-native group learned about pets. We held many activities to aid in listening and speaking skills. The children talked about what pets they liked. Everyone had lots of fun talking about animals and acting them out.
Year 2, 3 and 4 non-native students also celebrated Halloween during Chinese class. Students practised topics related to Halloween through a variety of games and activities focused on speaking, listening and writing.
