The term is already off to a great start with Year 1 starting their new topic of Materials and Year 2 beginning their topic of Meerkat Mail and deepening their understanding of number and place value in Maths. Wandering into the classes in the Year 1 and Year 2 corridors, it was evident that exciting learning has been taking place.
This week the Year 1 pupils have also been looking weight, comparing the mass of different objects using balancing scales and the pupils in Year 2 have started working on their own superheroes whose aim to resolve issues linked to UNICEF's Global Goal 4.
In our Key Stage assembly this week, the children were encouraged to think about their new year's resolutions and it was wonderful to hear so many pupils sharing their desire to continue to work hard in class and to 'Be Kind'.
With the term already underway, I am looking forward to seeing the wonderful learning that will take place in Key Stage 1 as well as the Year 2 production and some class assemblies.
