Linking in with our recent topic of ‘Dinosaurs’, we enjoyed exploring the different exhibitions and 3D models. Whilst exploring the Dinosaur Park, we had a fantastic time searching for ancient dinosaur skeletons, fossils, and eggs. Using our previous learning, we were able to identify whether different dinosaurs we spotted were carnivores or herbivores by looking at their teeth. The interactive dinosaurs were also very impressive and helped us to imagine what they would have looked and sounded like! We also enjoyed experiencing a 4D interactive movie giving us more of an idea as to what Earth was like with dinosaurs roaming around.
During the day, we also enjoyed exploring the other areas of the museum, using our communication and language skills to talk about what we could see. Using our investigative skills we were searching for similarities and differences between different creatures and plants that were on display. It is safe to say that we had a brilliant time on our trip which was a great way to consolidate our learning and end our ‘Dinosaur’ topic!
