Beyond the Classroom!

Last year, we shared many examples of children participating, contributing and achieving in activities and events outside of school in our weekly newsletter. We are launching this year’s requests for ‘Beyond the Classroom’ with an exciting example! We invite all families to share any news with Kirsty Gallo, Assistant Head for Community and Well-being, at kirsty.gallo@bischicagolp.org.

Last weekend, a group of our children  opened up a Lemonade Stand in Lakeview. They collected $189 by selling fresh lemonade, sparkling lemonade and cookies and are planning on donating the benefits to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Batu H (Year 3),  Alina and Onur (Year 4),  Sera and Ozan (Year 3) worked very hard on this project over the last couple of months and finally and successfully completed it. Thanks to Vicente N (Reception), Tim N and Taylor O (Year 3) for stopping by and supporting their friends.

We are very proud of them! Our Goal Squad are also proud of them!

-Kirsty Gallo, Assistant Head of Community/Well-Being
