  • BSG Year 5 Girls Football

Over the course of the day, the girls increased in confidence and Harriet made some fantastic saves in goal which kept the scores low. Mila, Christine and Young Yu did well in the midfield and passed it up and down the pitch. The result of the pools meant that the Year 5 team were playing the Year 6 team in the 3rd/4th play off. It was all to play for. The Year 5 team scored first with a fantastic goal from Christine.

Then the Year 6 team counterattacked with Annika scoring a great goal. Mila scored from the Year 5 team and then Annika scored another goal to take it level at 2-2. After some great work from the defence of Joanna, Angelica, Arielle and Rou yu, who got the ball down the field, Christine made an excellent cross to Mila who scored to make it 3-2. A great result for the year 5 team beating the Year 6 team and a 3rd place overall in the tournament.
