Nord Anglia Education, the world's leading premium schools organisation, is pleased to announce the development of a new state-of-the-art campus in Houston, Texas for the British International School of Houston (BISH). Catering for students from the age of 3 to 18, the new campus is expected to open in September 2016.
Located near Katy in west Houston, the new 2,000 seat campus will feature extensive sports, science and arts facilities, set in green and spacious 33 acre grounds. BISH will relocate to the new campus when it opens and close its current 850 seat campus at that time.
Founded in 2000, BISH has grown in recent years in response to strong demand from both expatriate and local families desiring an exceptional international education for their children. BISH will continue to deliver international curricula throughout the school, offering several pathways post-16 including the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. The school has achieved outstanding academic success with the IB Diploma, placing it among the top 10% of the more than 3,000 IB schools worldwide.
Andrew Fitzmaurice, CEO of Nord Anglia Education, commented, "We are delighted to announce to the greater Houston community, and to our students, parents, teachers and staff, the construction of a new campus in west Houston. Houston is a fast-growing market, and the new campus will have impressive facilities to support the school in offering an outstanding international education to more students in Houston."
